Interests: "When an artist is in the strict sense working, he of course takes into account the existing tastes, interests and capacity of his audience. These no less than the language, the marble, the paint, are part of his raw material; to be used, tamed, sublimated, not ignored or defied. Haughty indifference to them is not genius, it is laziness and incompetence." -C.S. Lewis Occupation: Student Industry: Art

| I recently read an author who thinks that Jesus (since He is 100% human, and 100% God) had to discover who He was while on earth. That He was not born with the understanding of who He was, but rather had to develop and grow as an individual, being influenced by His relationships with his parents, family, God the Father, siblings, society, etc.
It seemed like an insult of who Christ is, but than again, how do we define humanity? If He was the perfect human, can not knowing who you are be a sin? Did He truly discover who He was as he grew, or was He born with the knowledge and understanding of His mission? I am interested in reading what you think.

| the response to the last post cracks me up. the reason behind the blank message was that i put up a "notice" for a Bible study that was being held at my apartment. however, a kind and loving friend pointed out that I may have put too much info into the blog, enough so that a stranger with bad intent might misuse the info. Thus, I deleted the blog, but did not write anything else in it.
a thought from this week:
Why is it that suffering and struggle is looked down upon? It is a part of human existence. It is through the hard times that God refines us. But so many people look down upon struggle and pain as an "illness" that must be cured, a disease that is fatal. Perhaps, we might just exist in the pain and experience it for what it is, a part of life.

| I am very excited about Narnia coming out this upcoming weekend.
I will be spending a lot of time in solitude this weekend and next week.
I couldn't be more relieved that this semester has ended, and yet so sad that my time at college is nearing the end.
on a happier note, a story about the little 2 year old boy that I babysat tonight...
his mother said that if the two boys were good, they could have soda with their dinner. So i pour some of the pop into a sippy cup for the little one, and the four year old got to drink from the can. I put the sippy cup down in front of the two year old, and then sat down next to him to eat dinner. The little guy takes a sip from the cup, then starts giggling and says, "Oooo, it's soda!" A few minutes later, he takes another drink and starts giggling. Every time he took a drink, he would laugh and giggle. I about choked on my food from laughing. I couldn't figure out if he kept forgetting that there was soda in the cup, or if it was just tickling his nose.
